Generosity
Fueling the Mission of Belong

At Belong Church, we talk a lot about "justice-loving community." But justice, community, and radical hospitality require more than just good intentions—they require resources. When you give to Belong, you aren't just "donating to a non-profit"; you are partnering with us to create a space where everyone truly belongs.

The Depth and Breadth of Your Gifts:

We believe that every gift is a sacred act of worship, regardless of the number of zeros attached to it. We honor the breadth of how our community shows up:

The "Spare Change" & The Offering Box:

We cherish the loose coins and crumpled bills dropped into our offering box on a Sunday morning. Those gifts represent a spontaneous heart and a desire to contribute in the moment.

The Consistent Tithe:

Many in our community choose to give a percentage of their income through Tithely (recurring giving). This consistency allows us to plan for the future with confidence.

Large & Planned Donations:

For those in a season of life where they can provide larger, one-time gifts or "Legacy Gifts" through estate planning, these contributions provide the "depth" that secures our long-term presence in Denver.

Whether it’s the change in your pocket or a significant financial investment, we receive every gift with the same gratitude and prayer: that it be used to do "all the good we can."

Theology and Philosophy of Giving
Giving at Belong serves two primary purposes:

The Logistics of Building Beloved Community

Being transparent about our financial stewardship is important to us. Most of our expenses go to pay our incredible staff as they lead our community in justice and joy. Also important--to be a light to the people of Denver and in the Barnum neighborhood, we have to keep the lights on. Your generosity pays for the heat in the winter, the maintenance of our historic space, the salaries of our dedicated staff, and the supplies for Belong Kids and other mission and ministry work.

A Spiritual Call to Generosity

Beyond the budget, giving is an act of obedience. We believe God calls us to be a generous people because God is a generous Creator. By practicing generosity, we break the power that "stuff" has over us and remind ourselves that everything we have is a gift to be shared. It is a spiritual discipline that aligns our hearts with God’s heart for the world.
