ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
My name is Brittany Sundman. I performed in theater throughout grade school before discovering a love of the more "behind the scenes" roles such as set design, theater tech, stage management, and directing. While attending college at Pepperdine University, I worked at the on-campus theater, learning all the ins and outs of technical theater (lights, sound, etc.). Post-graduation, I was the stage manager at a community theater in Los Angeles for 7 years until I moved to Denver. For several years, I also worked in various children's theater summer camps and school programs in both LA and Denver, doing everything from painting sets to stage management.
I started this program because my own early experiences in theater were perhaps the most valuable and memorable of my entire childhood. On top of being a ton of fun, it's an environment that fosters growth and self-confidence where kids are welcomed for who they are. I'm beyond excited to be a part of that and to provide kids with an opportunity to be creative in a safe and accepting space.

ABOUT THE SHOW
Summer 2026
Myth-Understood
By Jackie Martin
Produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Denver, Colorado
Myth-Understood is a fun, humorous reimagining of the classic Greek myths. The show is approximately 60 minutes long.
Synopsis: Two kids writing a report on Greek mythology are startled when they get a visit from Hermes, winged helmet and all! The messenger whisks them away to Mount Olympus, where various gods and goddesses retell their myths to the students in a more favorable light. In a quest to get people to worship them once again, Zeus and the other gods and goddesses want to put a more positive (and hilarious!) spin on their version of events.
From Medusa just wanting to be noticed to Eurydice quickly tiring of Orpheus's attention and Paris having to choose who to give his golden apple to on the reality TV show "Apple of His Eye", the two teens are surprised to hear different perspectives on familiar ancient Greek stories. The only problem is... the mythological figures might not exactly be telling the truth!
